DELTA e-con wins Texprocess Americas Innovation Award

Texprocess Americas 2023, the leading trade show on the American continent for the sewing industry, presented the Texprocess Americas Innovation Award for the first time at the start of the show. Outstanding achievements in research, new materials, products and technologies, applications and new developments in sustainability were recognized in several categories. In the category "New Technologies on Sustainability & Recycling" the award was presented to Dürkopp Adler for the new DELTA e-con machine.

With the new DELTA e-con it is possible to save 25% of the power consumption compared to other digital competitor machines*, while the sewing results are raised to an even higher level. Thus, the fully digitalized DELTA platform sets new standards in the medium-heavy application range. The sophisticated sewing kinematics in combination with the programmable control elements enable perfect and reproducible sewing results - even in particularly demanding materials. At the same time, the DELTA actively supports the sewing process and makes production workflows much better, faster and more effective.

The DELTA e-con was selected by an independet jury of experts from the textile and apparel industry, who judged according to criteria such as innovation, functionality, design and sustainability. The award recognizes Dürkopp Adler's commitment to continuous innovation and pursuit of excellence.

YKK invests USD 150 million in new manufacturing facility in India

YKK Corporation has announced plans to construct a new manufacturing facility in India, reinforcing its long-term commitment to one of the world's fastest-growing textile and apparel production hubs. The new factory will be built at Origins by Mahindra in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and will become the third manufacturing site of YKK India Private Limited. The facility is expected to be completed by February 2028 and represents an investment of approximately USD 150 million, covering land, buildings, machinery and equipment.
