“This acknowledgment comes at a critical time when stakeholders across our global value chain are expecting the companies that they work with to care for their people, their communities and our planet,” said Bo Van Zeeland, General Manager and Chief Counsel Compliance at SABIC.

“With a presence in over 60 countries, we have a responsibility to ensure that our company creates lasting value. This rating is a testament to our ongoing efforts to continuously improve our practices to meet the sustainability expectations of all of our stakeholders,” he added.

In 2020, SABIC received a Platinum medal for sustainability from EcoVadis. In 2019, Ecovadis placed SABIC in the Top 1% best performers in the industrial category ‘Basic Chemicals, Fertilizers, Plastics & Synthetic Rubber Companies.’

SABIC recognizes that in order to succeed in today’s global marketplace, sustainability must be embedded in the way we do business. That’s why our vision is to integrate the environmental, social, and economic dimensions of sustainability into our core business strategy.
