Saurer Group strengthens management and appoints Dr. Martin Folini as new CEO of the Business Unit Schlafhorst Zinser

Saurer Group is pleased to announce the strengthening of the management team of its largest business unit. From 1st of November 2014, Dr. Martin Folini will take over the responsibility as CEO of Schlafhorst and Zinser.

These two brands are the market and innovation leaders for Roving and Ring Spinning, Rotor Spinning as well as Winding with worldwide 2,000 employees. Jan Röttgering will take over the position of General Manager Rotor Spinning within the business unit, allowing a higher focus on individual product lines.

Dr. Folini has a long experience in the textile machinery as well as high precision machinery industry.

He graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich with a PhD. For over 15 years he worked in the textile industry for the Rieter Group, first as Head of Manufacturing and Procurementand then as CEO of Spun Yarn Systems. Since 2009, he successfully lead the Pfiffner Group, Switzerland, a leading supplier of efficient, automatic high precision industrial machines, as CEO.

Dr. Folini has in-depth knowledge of the textile industry from his more than 15 years, something he shares with all the Saurer employees: at Saurer “we live textile”.

RE&UP’s Next-Gen Cotton fibers power Zalando private label t-shirt collection crafted from innovative recycled textiles

RE&UP Recycling Technologies’ Next-Gen Cotton powers a new collection from Zalando’s private labels, marking a step forward in bringing textile-to-textile recycled fibers into commercial fashion production. Launching on Zalando in August, the collection comprises five t-shirts across YOURTURN by Zalando and Even&Odd by Zalando, made from a circular-knit fabric blending 80% organic cotton with 20% RE&UP Next-Gen Cotton — textile-to-textile recycled fiber produced from textile waste. This is the first time RE&UP's recycled fibers feature in Zalando's private label assortment.
