Precision metering technology for the Polyurethane industry

Barmag showcases pump solutions for demanding PU applications at PU China 2026

Barmag’s GM pump ensures reproducible production results with its low-pulsation feed. Precise metering under high pressure is guaranteed even under the most challenging application conditions, such as with low-viscosity and toxic media © 2026 Barmag
At PU China, taking place November 3–5, 2026, at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center in Shanghai, Barmag’s Pumps Division will present high-performance metering solutions for the processing of polyurethane systems (Hall 1, Booth 135). The focus is on high-precision gear metering pumps that enable the exact delivery of PUR components as well as other high-viscosity and reactive media. With their high metering accuracy, they help reduce material consumption, stabilize processes, and ensure consistently high product quality.

The manufacture of modern polyurethane products requires precisely coordinated dosing and mixing technology. Even the slightest fluctuations in flow can affect the properties of the final product. That is why manufacturers are increasingly relying on components that combine the highest precision with high process reliability.

Balancing efficiency and quality

At PU China, Barmag will be showcasing, in particular, pump solutions for two-component adhesives and sealants, as well as other reactive media. The metering pumps in the GM and GA series ensure continuous, low-pulsation flow, thereby laying the foundation for reproducible production processes. At the same time, material losses can be minimized, which improves both the cost-effectiveness and sustainability of production.

“The demands on modern polyurethane applications are constantly increasing. Our customers need metering systems that deliver the highest accuracy while supporting cost-effective production processes. This is precisely why we are continuously advancing our pump technologies,” explains Andreas Heitzer, Key Account Manager of the Pumps Division.

Gentle conveyance of sensitive media

In addition to precise metering, gentle material handling plays a crucial role in many PU applications. Barmag offers solutions for this purpose that are also suitable for shear-sensitive materials. The conveying technology helps preserve the properties of the medium throughout the entire process and ensures uniform material application. This increases process stability and contributes to a consistently high quality of the manufactured products.

Focus on efficiency and quality

At PU China 2026, Barmag will demonstrate how polyurethane processes can be made more precise and cost-effective. The focus will be on pump technologies for reliable dosing and reproducible production results. Trade visitors can discuss the latest developments and learn about customized solutions.
