ShanghaiTex 2017 opening in two weeks

The 18th International Exhibition on Textile Industry (hereinafter as “ShanghaiTex 2017”) will open in two weeks on 27 November at Shanghai New International Expo Centre. In response to the customization trend, ShanghaiTex 2017 contributes to the progressive realization of Industry 4.0 to breathe new dynamics and value to the industry.

The show covers 9 halls with the total size of more than 103,500 square meters. Over 1,200 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions are showcasing their latest technologies, and more than 60,000 professional buyers are expected to attend the show for commercial procurement.

In order to bring more business opportunities to exhibitors and to enhance the interaction between industry players, the organizers of ShanghaiTex have launched a series of comprehensive promotions to invite key buyers, associations, and textile enterprises to visit the show. Sportswear and underwear is one of the 2017 show focus of exploring new textile applications. Thus the organizers have invited many international famous brands to ShanghaiTex 2017 for visiting and business communications. In the GREEN project, the Fraunhofer Cluster of Excellence Circular Plastics Economy CCPE demonstrates that recycled polypro-pylene (PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and high-density polyeth-ylene (HDPE) can be processed into nonwovens, fibers, and membranes that meet industrial requirements. This creates opportunities for use in existing production lines and new value chains in the geotextile market.
