Huge special issue of the ICAC recorder focusses exclusively on COVID-19 pandemic
Since the novel coronavirus shut down the global cotton supply chain four months ago, the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) has put much of its efforts into monitoring and advising on the effects of the pandemic in the cotton and textiles supply chain. That initiative continues with the release of a special June 2020 edition of The ICAC Recorder that focusses exclusively on COVID-19.
Highlights from the June 2020 issue of the ICAC Recorder include:
- Nearly 100 pages of COVID-specific content from 25 cotton experts
- Many first-person updates from cotton countries around the globe
- The inclusion of the ICAC research paper, ‘The Role of Cotton in Face Masks’
The special report packs more than two dozen feature stories into the 95-page issue, in addition to an editorial from Dr Keshav Kranthi, Head of the ICAC Technical Services section. It includes many first-person updates from cotton-producing and -consuming countries around the globe, in addition to multiple articles that focus on global issues.
The June 2020 ICAC Recorder also features a research document, ‘The Role of Cotton in Face Masks’, which explains the science that proves cotton is the best fibre for COVID-fighting face masks.
