Lantal's laboratory now accredited test center

(c) 2013 Lantal
The Lantal laboratory recently received its accreditation as a competent test center for railway- and aircraft-typical flammability tests pursuant to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
The Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) officially acknowledged the Lantal laboratory's status as a “test center for railway- and aircraft-typical flammability tests ursuant to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard”. This means that within the scope of the accreditation, the laboratory is authorized to perform fire tests with all materials and components used in the interiors of aircraft and rolling stock. The approval is indispensable for carrying out fire tests and rendering relevant services, both in
conjunction with Lantal products as well as for third parties in the aviation and rail markets. The lab's accreditation as a test center pursuant to ISO/IEC 17025 is based on a quality management system for the fire test laboratory. Heiko Nüssel, Executive Vice President Engineering & Quality, is pleased with the outcome of the audit: “Our official test certificates and reports contain reliable data which customers can subsequently submit to their respective national authorities.”
Lantal's in-house laboratory regularly tests the flammability, toxicity, smoke development, wear, colorfastness, and many other parameters of its materials and products. The laboratory is equipped with the resources needed for all relevant tests involving interior components.
