· Tenbusch has developed Albaad into the market leader in continental Europe

· Annual turnover has increased tenfold since 2004

· Successful development with a focus on sustainability

‘The past 20 years have been a time of continuous growth and change. I am proud to be part of this development,’ said Wolfgang Tenbusch, President of Albaad Europe, at an internal anniversary celebration. Under his leadership, the manufacturing company has experienced strong growth: from a plant in Germany with 85 employees and annual sales of around 34 million euros, the manufacturer has become the market leader in continental Europe for wet wipes and moist toilet paper. Today, Albaad employs more than 1,150 people at three locations across Europe. During this time, annual sales have increased tenfold.

Strategic expansion of production capacities

Albaad's growth has gone hand in hand with a steady expansion of its production capacities. While the company was still producing around 40 million packs in 2004, last year it produced more than 319.8 million packs. At the same time, Albaad increased the production area of its Ochtrup plant alone from around 5,000 to more than 36,000 square metres. Further space was added with the founding of Albaad Poland and the takeover of Optimal Care in Spain.

Wolfgang Tenbusch began his career at the company's headquarters in Ochtrup as managing director of Albaad Germany. Today, as president of Albaad Europe, he is responsible for the company's strategic expansion and market development across the continent. Tenbusch places particular emphasis on sustainability: under his leadership, Albaad became the first German climate-neutral company in the wet wipes market.
