SHIMA SEIKI to participate in Tech Fashion

SDS-ONE APEX3 (c) 2019 Shima Seiki
Leading Japanese computerized knitting machine manufacturer SHIMA SEIKI MFG., LTD., together with its Brazilian rep resentative BRASTEMA TECNOLOGIA TEXTIL LTDA., will participate in the Tech Fashion shows, a series of private exhibi tions held at three locations in Brazil in July and August. The exhibitions will be a showcase for the company’s latest computerized flat knitting technology, presented through fashion shows as well as machine exhibits at each venue.

On display will be traditional shaping machines, such as the SCG122SN coarse gauge machine and workhorse SSR112, as well as the SRY123LP machine with loop presser beds capable of hybrid knitweave fabrics. WHOLEGARMENT® produc tion is demonstrated by the versatile MACH2S WHOLEGARMENT® knitting machine that can be used for both WHOLEGARMENT® knitting and shaped knitting applications, as well as the compact SWG091N2 WHOLEGARMENT® knit ting machine that is especially suited to knitting accessories and smaller items.

The potential of each of these knitting machines are maximized in combination with the SDSONE APEX3 3D design sys tem. At the core of the company’s “Total Fashion System” concept, APEX3 provides comprehensive support throughout the apparel supply chain, integrating production into one smooth and efficient workflow from yarn development, prod uct planning and design to production and even sales promotion. Especially effective is APEX3’s capability to improve on the design and evaluation process with Virtual Sampling. Ultrarealistic simulation capability on APEX3 allows Virtual Sampling to minimize the significant amount of time, cost and material spent during the samplemaking process. With this new manufacturing model, the production cycle can be shortened to such an extent that ondemand production can revolutionize the supply chain to support masscustomization and increasing consumer demand for ecommerce applications.

The fashion show will feature the newest creations in WHOLEGARMENT® and other knitwear by a local knit designer.
