Functional, reliable and innovative - this is how the products for the contract sector are presented at Heimtextil in Frankfurt from 14 to 17 January 2025. From 14 to 17 January 2025, Heimtextil will be the first stop for architects, interior designers and hospitality experts looking for contract textiles. Here, they find the entire spectrum of textile furnishings in one place and at the same time an informative comprehensive programme, design and trend inspiration. Top international exhibitors and innovative newcomers present their latest products for the contract business. The entire textile spectrum is covered - from wallpapers, curtains and sun protection, upholstery and outdoor fabrics, bedding, bed linen, bathroom textiles, mattresses and sleeping systems, fibres and yarns to carpets.

'Contract textiles are the champions league of home textiles. They are subject to the highest demands in terms of quality, functionality, safety and design. Year after year, our exhibitors outdo themselves with innovative products and further developments in functionality. This makes it all the more important to stay up-to-date, discover the most promising innovations and explore the new possibilities', explains Bettina Bär, Director Heimtextil.

Whether in offices, hotels, restaurants, hospitals or public transport - textiles are an essential part of furnishings and fulfil important tasks. They provide comfort, influence the room atmosphere and are also real all-rounders. Flame-retardant, antimicrobial, water-repellent, dirt-repellent, lightfast, sound-absorbing, cooling and many other functionalities characterise contract textiles. After all, fire protection, hygiene standards and extreme areas of application demand absolute reliability in their properties. Messe Frankfurt commits further to East Africa: three textiles trade fairs during Africa Sourcing and Fashion Week from 2027

Messe Frankfurt and its Texpertise Network continue their steady, successful trajectory in the region. As Africa Sourcing and Fashion Week (ASFW) opened today, Member of the Executive Board Detlef Braun announced that Messe Frankfurt is licencing its three leading international trade fair brands Texworld, Apparel Sourcing and Texprocess to Nairobi, Kenya for the first time in 2027. From now on, they will take place annually as part of the Africa Sourcing and Fashion Week (ASFW) Nairobi.

Speed and connectivity: Techtextil and Texprocess provided market-ready solutions for industries under pressure

With more than 36,000 visitors and 1,700 exhibitors from a total of 112 countries, Techtextil and Texprocess 2026 demonstrated how innovation comes into industrial use. The convergence of research, industry and application proved to be a breeding ground for new material solutions, manufacturing and processing technologies. Natural fibres, performance apparel, connected systems and AI-driven processing technologies emerged as key growth and future markets.

Heimtextil 2025 records visitor increase and showcased future interior design

Heimtextil 2025 ended with full exhibition halls, 142 participating nations, another increase in exhibitors and visitors as well as with top satisfaction ratings. Over four days, more than 50,000 buyers experienced the latest collections, materials and textile solutions for the entire interior design at first hand from over 3,000 exhibitors. The Heimtextil Trends 25/26 by Alcova Milano and the installation ‘among-us’ by star designer Patricia Urquiola set new standards for interior design, retail and hospitality. The content programme centered on AI-driven design, sustainable production processes and future interiors.
