DBL Group Bangladesh has chosen again Santex Switzerland

DBL Group is a diversified and integrated knit garments manufacturing & composite industry with a strong backward linkage. They are one of the largest and 100% export oriented composite knit garments and textiles manufacturing industry in Bangladesh.
Some of the fabrics which DBL Groups produces are Single Jersey, Pique, Fleece, Terry, Rib, Interlock and variegated fabrics. The fibers used are Cotton, Viscose, Polyester, Rayon and Elastane. The Dyeing and Finishing capacity is more than 50 t per day; the projection will rise to 100 tonnes per day by 2016. Over the years the quality products and reputation have created a strong business relation with the world's famous clothing brands like H&M, Walmart, George, Esprit, Puma and many more. DBL Group is in the process of becoming the country’s largest vertically integrated producer by 2016.   The cooperation between DBL Group and Santex goes back to 2001 when Santex delivered the first Santashrink and Santastretch Compactor for tubular form. Since then Santex has become a strategic partner for finishing of knitted fabrics. In 2013 Santex delivered two Santashrink Progress, 6 chambers, with Double Pad and Pin Frame for knitted fabrics in open width form. Start-up is in November 2014. The project was guided via Santex agent in Bangladesh aamra resources ltd. This is the first phase of an extended expansion of DBL Group at the modern investment plan in the Color City project.

“The decision to buy again Santex was due to the excellent performance of Santashrink, especially lower energy consumption compared with the competition. Furthermore steaming and vibration chamber give a better relax and shrink results, quality is a major issue for DBL”, says Mr Anwarul Azim, technical director of DBL Group.

During a recent ceremony in the head office of DBL Group in Dhaka, the whole management team under the leadership of M. A. Jabbar, Managing Director received an original Swiss bell from the president of Santex AG as a memento for the excellent relationship between both companies. Only the cows with the best performance and beauty can wear the biggest bells when they are leading the group of cows going down from the Alps. It is a symbol for DBL Group as one of the leading knit garments and textiles companies of Bangladesh.

Italian textile machinery sector faces weak start to 2026 despite domestic growth

In the first quarter of 2026, order intake for Italian textile machinery manufacturers recorded a decrease of 5% compared to the same period in 2025, reflecting a still challenging start to the year. The decline affected foreign markets (-7%), while the domestic market showed growth (+21%).
