Heimtextil and Colombiatex the first events of 2020 for Italian textile machines

For the Italian textile machinery industry 2020 opens with two extremely important trade fairs. From January 7 to 10 Frankfurt will host Heimtextil, the most important global trade show for home and contract textiles. In hall 3.0 Italian Trade Agency and ACIMIT, the Italian association of textile machinery manufacturers, will be present with a service center designed to assist Italian manufacturers during the show, but also to provide information on the Italian supply to the numerous expected visitors.

Following from January 21 to 23, Colombiatex, the main fair for the Colombian textile sector, will be held in Medellin. An exhibition area will be set up by Italian Trade Agency. The following ACIMIT member companies will be exhibiting in this area: Btsr, Color Service, Fadis, Ferraro, Flainox, Itema, Kairos, Laip, Loptex, Mactec, Mcs, Mesdan, Ratti, Scaglia, Zappa. In Latin America, Colombia represents a market of considerable interest for textile machinery, especially for the strong development of local fashion sector, well known throughout South America.

Alessandro Zucchi, president of ACIMIT says: 2020 will be a challenging year for our member companies, given the high number of planned exhibitions. We start immediately with two important events. Heimtextil is known for new trends and textile innovations. The drive for digitalization has distinguished the offer of our manufacturers for some years now. For this reason it is important for our Association to be present in Frankfurt”.

#ITMA Asia + CITME Singapore 2025

The Italian Textile Machinery industry on display at ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025

100 Italian companies will exhibit at ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025, taking place from October 28 to 31. With an area of around 4,000 square meters, Italy ranks among the top exhibiting Countries, as in previous editions. 53 Italian exhibitors will show their innovations within the National Sector Groups, organized by ACIMIT (Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers) and Italian Trade Agency.

Italian Textile Machinery: In Q2 2025 signs of recovery in the domestic market

In the second quarter of 2025, the index of orders for textile machinery, compiled by the Economics Department of ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, showed a slight decrease compared to the same period in 2024 (-1%). In absolute terms, the index stood at 47.1 points (base year 2021=100).

Italian Textile Machinery: 2024 marked by challenges and a light slowdown - Focus now on the strength of Made In Italy

Enhancing the value of Made in Italy must be placed at the heart of the challenges facing the Italian textile machinery industry in the coming years. This was the message emphasized by Marco Salvadè, President of ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, during the General Assembly, held on Friday, 4 July, at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello. Presenting the latest industry figures, Salvadè reported that in 2024 production fell by 8% compared to 2023, amounting to €2.1 billion, while exports declined by 9% (€1.8 billion).

ITMF and IAF conclude successful Joint Convention 2025 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

The International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) and the International Apparel Federation (IAF) have successfully concluded their second joint convention, held this year in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. In close collaboration with the host Indonesian Textile Association (API), the event gathered over 400 delegates from around the world from across the entire textile and apparel value chain.

VDMA members at ITMA ASIA + CITME in Singapore

With 69 exhibiting member companies, ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025 is once again marked by a strong presence of VDMA companies. Altogether 82 companies from Germany will exhibit at the show, covering about 3,500 square meters of exhibition space, topped only by China and Italy. VDMA initiated a German Pavilion with two group stands (spinning in hall 4 and finishing in hall 7) with a total of 30 exhibitors.
