For ITMA ASIA + CITME 2012, Savio booth project was characterized by a glass volume for the house area, 6 meters high, covered in the front part by a 3D maxi logo, meant to catch the visitors attention.

In the inner part of the booth, we paid tribute to our centennial history presenting a black and white archive picture dated 1971: Mr. Luciano Savio in Beijing with Chinese governor Zhou Enlai. On the external wall cabins, a striped pattern inspired to the new logo colours. Savio visitors were mostly Chinese, but have been registered also Taiwanese, Indonesian, Korean, Pakistani, Bangladeshi operators and Asian in general. The opening day of the fair, June 12th, was honoured by the visit of the President of the Chinese Textile Industry Association, Mr. Wang Tiankai, who has been explained about the machines on display, describing with particular emphasis the features of energy saving, productivity and automation. President Wang was very impressed by the Orion Super M winder, which is manufactured in Savio China Jining plant, and stated his appreciation to the actual commitment of Savio toward the Chinese textile industry.

On June 12th, Savio management also celebrated the important Golden Drum ceremony with two VIP customers: Fujian Changle Jingyuan Textile Co., Ltd. and Jiangxi Jinyuan Textile Co., Ltd. Mr. Zheng Baoming, chairman of Fujian Changle Jinyuan Textile, and Mr. Zheng Yongxiang, general manager of Jiangxi Jinyuan Textile, have been awarded of a Golden Drum at the presence of Mr. Lorenzo Cucchetto, Savio CEO, Mr. Rino Siro Morani, Savio Board Member, Mr. Fulvio Galetto, Savio Area Sales Manager, Mrs. Pauline Wei, CNT managing director, and CNT sales department – Mr. Xu Feng and Mr. Li Zhiguang. At ITMA ASIA in Shanghai, Savio displayed its most important products both in the winding and the twisting segment: automatic winder model ORION SUPER M, POLAR/I DLS “Link type” and the new SIRIUS Two-for-One twister. Savio presented high-performance, energy saving ad less labor intensive products, meeting the Chinese and, generally, Asian markets requests.

Innovative Textile Recycling: New Partnership to simplify textile processing at the Recycling Atelier

Savio Macchine Tessili S.p.A. from Italy collaborates with the Recycling Atelier of Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg and ITA Augsburg since September 2024. Savio will support the Recycling Atelier in the areas of winding and quality control of yarns. This cooperation completes the process chain for mechanical textile recycling and opens up new research possibilities.

Grasim Industries Limited, the flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group and a global leader in cellulosic fibres, today announced an investment of ₹3,094 crore, for Phase II Lyocell capacity of 110K TPA at Harihar, Karnataka. This expansion will consist of 2 lines of 55K TPA (150 Tons per day) each. The first line is expected to be commissioned by 2028, and the second line is expected to be commissioned by 2030.
