The Woolmark Company joins London’s Textile Forum

This week The Woolmark Company will be taking part in London’s Textile Forum for the first time. They will be presenting the S/S 2013 Wool Lab, a unique sourcing guide to the best wool fabrics and yarns from suppliers around the world.

Following on from the successful trade re-launch of Cool Wool at Première Vision in February the Woolmark Company will demonstrate to designers, brands and retailers at the show Merino wool’s natural suitability to the S/S season.

Textile Forum is London's most exclusive fashion fabric show, aimed at designers, small to medium sized manufacturers, dressmakers and retail fabric specialists looking for high quality fabrics from UK and Continental mills. The Woolmark Company will join the likes of Holland & Sherry and Laurent Garigue Partnership at the show which is run over two days on the 7th and 8th of March.

London is a premiere global fashion centre nurturing a wealth of creative design talent. Rebecca Sharp UK Country Manager for The Woolmark Company commented that Textile Forum is a great opportunity to demonstrate to UK designers, emerging talent and visiting fashion and textile students that Merino wool is an extremely versatile modern and relevant fibre. Messe Frankfurt commits further to East Africa: three textiles trade fairs during Africa Sourcing and Fashion Week from 2027

Messe Frankfurt and its Texpertise Network continue their steady, successful trajectory in the region. As Africa Sourcing and Fashion Week (ASFW) opened today, Member of the Executive Board Detlef Braun announced that Messe Frankfurt is licencing its three leading international trade fair brands Texworld, Apparel Sourcing and Texprocess to Nairobi, Kenya for the first time in 2027. Barmag and Hitech Automation enter into partnership for an auto-doff system for texturing machines

Grasim Industries announces fresh investment of ₹3094 Crore to expand Lyocell capacity

Grasim Industries Limited, the flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group and a global leader in cellulosic fibres, today announced an investment of ₹3,094 crore, for Phase II Lyocell capacity of 110K TPA at Harihar, Karnataka. This expansion will consist of 2 lines of 55K TPA (150 Tons per day) each. The first line is expected to be commissioned by 2028, and the second line is expected to be commissioned by 2030.
