OptiTex to further strengthen presence in Asia, opens Hong Kong office and recruits industry veteran to serve as Regional Sales Director

OptiTex, one of the leading provider of 2D and 3D CAD/CAM, and Virtual Prototyping software solutions, announced today the opening of a new corporate office in Hong Kong, and the appointment of Mr. Nick Wei as its Regional Sales Director.
The new Hong Kong-based office will support OptiTex's sales and marketing efforts throughout the region, introducing the most advanced automated production tools and 3D evolution spreading solutions into the Asia -Pacific market.

Mr. Nick Wei has joined OptiTex and will serve as its Regional Sales Director and with his extensive 20 years experience in the world of garment industry will take responsibility of all commercial aspects. Mr. Wei has in depth experience in the Asia market and has been into the garment technology field since 1999 as sales, pre sales and project manager. Previously worked both for Lectra, Prima Design Systems and Lawson, has found and run Parellax Limited, an ERP company for the garment industry.

Graduated his Industrial Engineering MBA from Open University in Hong Kong, B. A. Sc. in University of Toronto, Canada and Hi. Dip. in the Fashion & Clothing Technology at Bradford College, UK. Mr. Ofer Asif, OptiTex's VP Asia & Emerging Markets commented, "I am happy to have Mr. Wei join our team, I am certain he will bring his deep knowledge of the specific needs of our customers in the region. The Asia Pacific market for garment industry solutions continues to grow and we realized it was time to open our local offices, to serve the region's growing demands, as well as enable us to be more responsive to local market needs." Grasim Industries announces fresh investment of ₹3094 Crore to expand Lyocell capacity

Grasim Industries Limited, the flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group and a global leader in cellulosic fibres, today announced an investment of ₹3,094 crore, for Phase II Lyocell capacity of 110K TPA at Harihar, Karnataka.
