Zimmer Austria's main attraction, the new CLOARIS digital printing system, was a success at ITMA 2011

Zimmer Austria's main attraction at ITMA 2011 was the new COLARIS digital printing system for roll to roll textiles which was producing a stunning 18,500 square meters (22,000 sq yd) of woven cotton fabrics printed with reactive inks.

The COLARIS printed approximately seven hours a day, during show hours, for the complete duration of the seven day exhibition.

The COLARIS was the fastest continuously producing digital printing system shown at ITMA and the large crowds of people around the machine at all times in the ZIMMER booth demonstrated the high level of interest for digital textile printing.

COLARIS proves also to be the most economical digital printing system currently available on the market. With Dystar inks, costing about one third the cost of other digital inks, the all important cost per square yard of printed fabric is the lowest in the digital printing industry. Dystar is just one approved ink system for the COLARIS as it is an "open system" and many other digital inks can be used.
