International Berlin Conference 2013 Filtration by Textile Media

From May 14 to May 15, 2013 the Cube of Seminaris Campus Hotel Berlin will host the International Berlin Conference 2013 on “Filtration by Textile Media”.

On the first day the international lecturers will cover general filtration mechanisms and filtration media. On the second day the focus of the global view will be set on the differentiation of gas filtration from liquid/liquid and solid/liquid filtration. Organizers of the conference are ITV Denkendorf and the Potsdam based consulting agency TEXOCON. The event will be supported by the associations Technical Textiles Germany and European technical Textiles together with IVGT Industrieverband Veredlung – Garne - Gewebe – Technische Textilien and Allianz Faserbasierte Werkstoffe Baden- Württemberg.

Target of the conference by presenting lectures with high level of novelty and expertise is to initiate a lively dialogue between research and development of the academia and experts from the industry. The key lecture will be held by Samir Gupta from the consulting agency for technical textiles BCH, India on “The future of the filter market in India”. All lectures will be translated simultaneously into German and English.

Textile daylight management when the winter sun is at an angle

When the sun is currently shining, shading textiles face particular challenges. On the one hand, they should allow as much daylight as possible into the rooms during the dark season. On the other hand, the angle of incidence of the sun's rays is so low that the light is particularly dazzling - much more so than in summer. Grasim Industries announces fresh investment of ₹3094 Crore to expand Lyocell capacity

Grasim Industries Limited, the flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group and a global leader in cellulosic fibres, today announced an investment of ₹3,094 crore, for Phase II Lyocell capacity of 110K TPA at Harihar, Karnataka.
