Arkema exhibits at TECHTEXTIL 2013 with its hotmelt adhesives and PVDF grades for textiles

Cool roofing: roofs in USA coated of Kynar® Aquatec (c) 2013 Arkema
Arkema will exhibit its Platamid® high performance copolyamide hotmelt adhesives, new PVDF Kynar® grades for the spinning of ultra-resistant fibers, and specific Kynar® PVDF grades designed for nonwoven and textile coatings at the next edition of TECHTEXTIL.

Platamid® universal adhesion grades feature very high specific bonding, an ability to bond onto very different substrates (woven and nonwoven textiles, polar thermoplastics, thermosets, leather), low VOC and a high content of renewable feedstock (up to 80%). Arkema will also exhibit its Platamid®standard range, with grades combining low fusing range, good crystallinity and good chemical resistance.

Arkema’s Kynar® PVDF product line offers a complete range of fluoropolymers for monofilaments and multifilaments, aimed at the production of highly resistant fibers for architectural applications as well as chemical and water filtration. Arkema has recently developed high flow PVDF grades to spin ultra-resistant multifilaments for use in commercial spinning equipment to produce high performance fluorinated textiles.

Arkema will also present its Kynar Flex® and Kynar® Aquatec specific resins (available either in emulsion, powder or pellet form) for the coating technology used for architectural textile roofs, or for the protection of synthetic leather in cars. These various Kynar® PVDF grades impart high chemical, UV and fire resistance, dirt repellency, and flexibility to textiles.

Arkema's development and sales teams will welcome visitors to their booth n° 3.0 A71.
