Van de Wiele will show carpet and velvet Innovations at ITM Istanbul

Velvet Tronic VTR33 for Italian Velvet equipped with a LJVi3 jacquard of 11520 solenoïds for 3 pile colours in center draw and 2x4 backing yarns per reed dent (c) 2013 van de Wiele
Many carpet weaving machines of the Innovator generation have been installed worldwide, weaving different qualities in cut pile, loop pile, shaggy, sisal look,… in different widths. Especially the width of 5m is very much appreciated, giving optimized combinations of area rug dimensions. Van de Wiele (Hall 8 – Booth 816) has 5 years of industrial experience with more than 250 machines weaving in 5m width worldwide.
When the machines are equipped with Smart Frames, the heddle frames are individually driven by servomotors, creating new possibilities for wall-to-wall and Kilim qualities. With the Smart Filling Selector, 2 different fillings can be shown on the same pick with 50% more production when woven on the three rapier Innovator machines.

Cut loop carpets in reed 500 d/m with 8 colours are presented on the Van de Wiele booth. These carpets are woven on the Universal Cut-loop Innovator UCi03, a three rapier carpet weaving machine. The UCi03 is the most versatile carpet weaving machine and the only machine in the market that weaves any combination of cut pile, loop pile and flat weave in face-to-face weaving.

Carpet and velvet Innovations Van de Wiele presents a new carpet quality in reed 500 dents/m, 16 colour frames, being the most colourfull machine-made carpets available on the market (fig 2). The carpet is made on the Handlook Carpet Innovator HCi X2, a three rapier weaving machine, producing 50% more than double rapier machines.

All pile tufts are woven through the back, giving a perfect pile fixation and a clear backside. Samples of this innovation and other handlook qualities from reed 240 d/m up to reed 1000 d/m are displayed at the Van de Wiele booth.

The Velvet Tronic VTR is manufactured in a plain/dobby execution - VTR23 – and a Jacquard execution – VTR33 (Fig. 3). The applications of velvet are numerous: upholstery, automotive, bus and train, curtain, chiffon dress, artificial fur, … For the interior fabrics, there is a fashion towards the Italian Velvet with pile design combined with Jacquard ground effects. Van de Wiele is giving a new life to this Italian velvet by creating a quality with 3 pile colours in center draw and 2x4 backing yarns per reed dent. The design possibilities become unlimited, especially when combined with a filling selector. The LJVi3 jacquard is equiped with 11520 solenoïds.

For more information on these and other carpet or velvet qualities, VandeWiele welcomes all interested visitors on their booth 816 Hall 8.
