Huntsman Textile Effects to jointly drive higher levels of innovation and quality products with India’s top apparel companies

Huntsman Textile Effects is pleased to announce the formation of a joint Innovation Council with Madura Fashion and Lifestyle, a part of the Aditya Birla Group.

Madura is a renowned fashion house with a strong reputation for innovation most recently recognized by US Apparel Magazine as amongst the most innovative apparel companies in 2011. Huntsman is a clear leader in innovative solutions for the textile industry.

Speaking on the formation of the council Mr Rohit Aggarwal, Textile Effects Global Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Planning stated, “Consumers in the Indian market are increasingly affluent and look to companies like Madura to provide the high quality, innovative products they demand. Grasim Industries announces fresh investment of ₹3094 Crore to expand Lyocell capacity

Grasim Industries Limited, the flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group and a global leader in cellulosic fibres, today announced an investment of ₹3,094 crore, for Phase II Lyocell capacity of 110K TPA at Harihar, Karnataka. This expansion will consist of 2 lines of 55K TPA (150 Tons per day) each. The first line is expected to be commissioned by 2028, and the second line is expected to be commissioned by 2030.
