RadiciGroup is exhibiting together with supplier partner at ISPO 2012.

RadiciGroup is taking part at the 72nd international sports trade show ISPO in Munich, Germany in a brand-new and innovative way.

Swiss subsidiary Noyfil SA, a leading European manufacturer of a vast range of polyester yarn, is exhibiting together with supplier partner HeiQ Materials (chemical company specializing in the development and production of high-performance textile finishes), Pontetorto (Italian fabric manufacturer), Youngone (Korean manufacturer of outerwear, shoes and accessories) and R’adys (Swiss sportswear manufacturer).

The common denominator of these five firms is their commitment to developing and offering sporting-good products that combine innovation, quality, high performance and sustainability. To reach their shared goal, the companies have decided to form a winning alliance. By merging the skills, know-how and experience of yarn, fabric and finished good manufacturers, the partners have created an innovative line of sportswear boasting not only a small environmental footprint but also the greatest comfort, coolness, breathability, colourfastness and thermoregulation.

 

r-Starlight® varn

A special eco-sustainable yarn, r-Starlight®, produced by Noyfil SA, was utilized to create the new line that HeiQ Materials, RadiciGroup and the other partners are launching at ISPO. r-Starlight starts with post-consumer recycled PET bottles, which are then sorted, washed and shredded into chips. The chips are then de-polymerized and polymerized again into granular form. The polymer granules obtained are then used for the production of fibres or as the raw material for the spinning process. The r-Starlight® product line includes a great variety of counts, cross-section shapes, lustres and colours. Solution-dyed r-Starlight® yarn provides an even higher degree of sustainability.
